Well I would certainly play the age game, It is ridiculous expecting you to chase around attending stupid meetings. Perhaps your doctor would write a letter saying you felt under stress as it was and could not attend.

Bureaucracy!!!! where the left hand doesn'rt even want to know what the right hand is doing, even if they had the brains to work it out. It is all crazy but you have to go along with it of course.

The nightmare stories I've been through with my best friend whose son has the horrible brain injury....when she moved from Colorado (great services) to Florida (almost no services)...and just the times I've helped her with the p/w through the years. I don't know if doing it all online is going to be better for you, but it sounds like they will be cutting out p/w...and possibly meetings?....in the future, once you get this training under your belt - if not today, whenever - you know it won't go away

In Maryland, when there is a flake of snow, the cancellations come on in. Hopefully, that meeting was cancelled.

Oh Boy! Like RP, I do hope they'll relent and cancel because of the weather! But when I read all that, I realized you left out something, something of great importance: There are many, many people whose livelihood and very reason for being depends on 'inventing' and 'administering' this kind of convoluted crap beautifully designed piece of escheresque bureaucratic beauty! And ours (well, in this case yours) is but to admire it...

Crazy situation. Lucky thing Phil has his dad and gma and so many
others around him who have love, humor and common sense. And extra energy. Embrace the new stuff so you can handle it without too much stress. With everything else that has to be done, a little bureaucratic BS will be a piece a cake...

Oh, my goodness, my heart goes out to all of you. What a story! I hope the meeting is called off due to weather issues. They can never make anything simple. My best to you and your family.
