My dad was a hunter and a fisherman--not for fun but to supplement the protein of a large family.  Everything was cooked and eaten.  I had a little trouble with stewed squirrel with dumplings.  I usually settled for bread and butter and a pickle, or saltines and peanutbutter.

I myself have never eaten duck . My grandfather loved it. With my love of red meat though, that is probably for the best I do not like it.

I'd like to copy this and send it to Marika. It so perfectly illustrates the 'sides' in the ongoing battle between Disneyfied animal lovers and practical people who have less problem with how they get dinner.
