I swear, sometimes men are such goofballs! This is such a funny scene to imagine, so vividly painted I can imagine the water dripping.....and almost taste the whiskey after it was all over, and I am sitting here chuckling at boys being boys. But, we love you anyway just the way you are!

Interpreters have a lot of power. They can calm things down or escalate them. And with a lot of interpretations for a single sentence, a lot can happen unintentionally. A very interesting read this is.

If she knew, I'll bet Lady Sharon would not have liked being talked about by a bunch of naked men in a tub.

language...it can certainly cause trouble, even when you think you are speaking the same one... this one I see how the misinterpretation must have occurred. I bet you slept well at the end though.

OMG - Hysterical! Made my day, for sure. Glad you didn't bow too low into the tub water. Great, great pleasure reading it! Thanks for "sharing." Loved the ending, a drink was quite appropriate by that time.

This was rich... Nicely done.
Interesting that among grown men of either culture it would have been as much of a fight-starter as on any playground to call a boy "girl." Sounds like there was a lot of well-rounded gentleman in all the crew members.
