Yes, many 'charities' are frauds, but there are good ones - it's a matter of educating oneself, as in so many areas of life, LOL...And the same thing applies to winning a lot of dough: fools and their money are soon parted, and often in ways that are disastrous for them. I'd spend it wisely! Let's see - first a really, really big ship, with a crew of blondes...

That post really supplied some intensive thinking and you're so right about our financial lives and charities. A lady here in charge of the March of Dimes took $500,000.00 for herself out of the fund.

of course it ain't right. Even the fact that the taxes come out first ain't right. If you win you should keep it all. and where does all the money that you don't get go to????

I saw so much greed over this thing I felt sick. Money really is God.

But I could use just a small percentage of a billion. Nothing to big, maybe a half percent.

Something has never been right with this way of thinking and doing.  It surely is not a perfect world and the happiness one sees on TV regarding lottery tickets is short-lived, usually even for the winners of large amounts.

I expect you might lose some little forms of excitement Pat. Not much use looking at yarn when you could have a room full. Or that little bargain in the store when you could buy the store. Oh! and me asking if I could borrow pounds.
