I once paid $800.00 for a skirt and top outfit. After one wear it sort of went out of shape and after one wash it fell to pieces. That was my foray into higher end fashion. No not true. I once wanted a cocktail dress for an overseas visit...i could not afford the one I tried on. The wamn in the shop asked me to model it for a few hours and she would give it to me for cost.
Seems that everyone wanted to look like I did and she was selling clothes like hot cakes. i was slim and blonde way back then. LOL
Like Taps, it was uniform and sensible shoes, no jewellery or makeup. Nursing, yes, the smile and encouraging words are the ornaments needed.

Well some spend money on cars, yachts etc., if clothes gave me pleasure, I would probably feel like you and buy the best, if I could afford to do so.

I didn't bother watching it - now I'm sorry I missed it. I could have got some good fashion tips, although I'm mostly in jeans these days...Oh and here are the results from the Fox Poll. Trump: 46.9; Cruz: 34.2; Rubio: 9.0; Carson: 5.5; Christie: 2.2; Bush: 1.5; Kasich: 1.1 I wonder how much longer Bush and Kasich will be hanging around...

Reading your entry reminds me that the clothes we wear are often a first impression that we make on others.

Remind me not to ever meet you for lunch if you come to Kansas City. As a nurse I wore loose scrubs and white comfy sneakers, no jewelry and very little makeup. But I most always wore a smile. Does that count for anything?
