A thoughtful post and one whose content I have witnessed in my own work life having emploed people as well as being employed.
I don't think it is all the fault of Govenment. A lot of very wealthy and loud voiced Lobby groups have more say than is good for a country. Outlawed in Australia, Lobbyists still find ways to own politicians and political parties.

Being in business, this entry strikes a chord with me. If not careful, customers and employees will take those miles...And you are right about attitudes and what our federal government, and our local governments, are doing. Sadly, there does not look to be a quick fix. And I fear without that quick fix, things are going to get to a point or no return, or we will be overtaken.
