According to the 60 minutes (or was it 20-20) broadcast
it's a Mafia thing. Apparently there's more money in fake olive oil than cocaine.

It's pretty scary how people are allowed to lie and cheat legally now. Is it getting worse? Or is it because journalists are better at letting us know about it?

Thanks for that heads-up! I use a lot of what I thought was EVOO, such as Bertolli, but shall certainly switch. I just did some checking, and found the fraud has been going on for years! GRRRRRRRRRRRR...

I hear you loud and clear. I have begun using Coconut Oil and I hope I don't find some horrible person is looking for money so wildly that they will sell me lies therer too. I think the sellers of all meat and chicken except free range, if you can be sure it is free range, are dping the same thing. They are full of antiboitics and all sorts of growth hormones. Theives!
