Her attitude had nothing to do with the who sitting in front of her, it was the situation that had her gobsmacked...

This was most interesting, I love reading of people's reaction. I don't think that you mentioned this before. Abnormal behavior usually denotes some kind of inner conflict. Young women usually behave like this when they are attracted to a male. I don't think this was the reason in this case, she did not get in that position by showing her legs.

Well......I guess you had to have been there. Perhaps it's an American thing, but I wouldn't find it rude for someone to say that to me. Personally, I would have added a 'please' at the end....and only done it if I really needed to finish what I was doing....but, I certainly wouldn't have gotten miffed about it...but, you did say her voice was frosty, so that would have made a difference. And then again, if I had asked you if you had been to sea as a serious question, needing to know...and I was very busy...and you started going through that litany just to irritate me....you would have succeeded! It sounds to me like the two of you somewhat deserved one another! But, again, it is evidently one of those things where you had to have been there...and you indicate there is definitely more to the story!

Interesting, really interesting and i look forward to the answers to her rude attitude. She sounds just the sort of female behind a desk that would send my Dad into a towering rage where he would really lose the plot. I must congratulate you on the smile and calm appearance.
