So many elderly folk are a burden to their loved ones. You have shared that burden Joe as we all know. I am sure that there is a place somewhere where your love will be recognised.Feel proud you have done what others were too weak to do.

It could be because they themselves are afraid. Fear can do that to people.

now that I am older they very often don't see me either. My place at a family social event, even walking through the mall seems to be invisible to others and they get annoyed if I don't remain mute.
