I have much to be thankful for. It seems that I am high and dry even though there are small lakes and streams around here and we have had quite a bit of rain. Our Missouri River doesn't seem to be flooded up at this end (for now). It's all going down stream.

Your mention of mud makes me appreciate all the snow.

Goodness me 10" is a lot of the wet stuff and i would prefer the snow that we are enjoying. About a foot of the stuff so far today and much more pleasant than all that terrible distructive rain. Thank you God that our Pat is safe.

Seems rain clouds are everywhere Pat. All I can think is it is a little bit better than a prolonged drought.

It has been snowing here since around midnight, and I already have about a foot on my gallery. I love the stuff, so won't complain. Water is another thing altogether - I would hate flooding. Those poor farmers!! I'm happy you are out of its way!

I guess we're lucky! The waters in our 'lake', Lake Ontario, part of North America's inland sea, would never rise enough to cause damage to more than a few cottages further east of here...But we had a snowfall overnight that has turned to an icy rain, and the snowplow has left a wall at the bottom of my driveway 2 1/2 ft high...Yikes...

We have been getting a lot of rain during the last week or so. It feels like it is never going to end.
