I went through Chicago on a train the first time I saw the city

right through some of the ugliest industrial areas and skid row. Had a bad impression of it as a gritty, worn-out place. Carl Sandburg has a great poem about the city. Fortunately for me I got another look when I went to the city for some training on a computer program my employer was introducing. The "miracle mile," the art museum, the acquarium, and some amazing architecture. I understand their pizza is good, too.  And Doc Martin is one don't-miss series for me, even in reruns.

Yes, I enjoy Doc Martin...his ears are a hoot that have given him quite a career, I suspect!  O'Hare is a great airport to have a layover in, lots to look at!  Our home office was in Chicago, so I've done lots of time there.  I've been hitting the eggnog myself tonight...while Bella is on the arm of my recliner, kneading furiously and purring so loudly that she's bound to be loosening some screws in the chair with the vibrations...her little arms are just like pistons running a mighty engine...periodically, she moves over and rests her upper body on my arm and kneads my breast - but I don't think she seriously thinks she's going to get anything out of there....it's just softer!LOL!...and she can look up at me, with her ugly little face,  and try her Please, Please, Please, Give me something....anything! look on me...OMG, it's pitiful!!!! But, I am immune!!!!
