I've never been to England but we do have an English pub/restaurant here in town. I think I went there once in high school.  I have never tried yorkshire pudding.

Great story!!! And clears up my long-standing - but never asked -

question about what Yorkshire Pudding is. I'd read stories where it was mentioned and knew it was traditional, but ...  This was so much fun!

My great Aunt used to make it. Probably used simple ingredients but I think the secret was roasting in beef fat with the beef inside an old black oven which was heated by a coal fire.
