They certainly can be, and I have seen men getting them, too. It can be difficult to properly reach one's own feet to do sufficient grooming.

I wonder if what you have are Hudson Bay Co blankets--the mostly white ones with broad stripes of green, red, yellow and black...? I got one of those at a thrift store, too, big one! I don't think mine is merino, though. I'll have to check the label.

Well we only pass this way once , although you will be going back again . Goodness I can smell that perfume from here, yes I have a couple of Merino blankets they were originally sold to the wild west Indians. A woman who worked at the mill said they were slightly seconds.
