OMG! That is hysterical...and it is so wonderful to read a tale from you like this, painted with words so it comes to life and I can hear that hymn from my childhood - I always loved it and found myself singing along in my mind....it always kind of reminded me like a little choo-choo train, that refrain of "oh, come, come, come"....my grandmother would laugh at me singing it.... And when we lived in the tiny town, more a hamlet really, of Elysian Fields, our church was small like that.... Anyway, I loved this post even beyond the hysterical character descriptions and human comedy. More, more, please
