I haven't read your posts in this blog for a week or so,  I read this one and found that not much has changed--only gotten worse.  I must ask, Is it really possible to defeat this ideology of Islam?  Who can defeat the imagination?

Sadly, a lot of Jews do not grasp the major problem Islam presents for them. They simply vote Democrat without thinking through the issue fully. I also know Jews who are indifferent to Israel. I agree with Charles Krauthammer that Israel is essential to the survival of Jewish people worldwide. Hopefully, we will never see that put to the test, but I am afraid that will happen at some point.

Nautikos

My hope is that the debates are giving more people, even if there are many who are only watching for the entertainment value, the exposure by sheer repetition to the issues and the complexities involved.  With the more recent tragedies in the world related to terror fresh on their minds, more people are waking up to the fact they have to pay attention to this stuff....that is a step in the right direction.  The major hurdle is the fact that it is so very complex....and that everyone who speaks about it is an 'expert' and as I have said before...I fear that is just going to have people chasing their tails...there are just so many mixed messages to the ears of those of us who don't speak this language of Middle Eastern Terrorist History and All the Groups Involved!  I think this is the main reason the camps tend to fall off into such emotionally divided groups - they aren't really sure of the intellectual basis for how they feel, but their feelings come from deep in the gut. Plus, this terrorism all over the world is not happening in a vacuum - economy/social upheaval/etc., etc......(plus and iou of )

Not many get it, Naut. They only go along with what they read or hear in the national news. For many the reality just doesn't suit their taste, so they ignore it.
