I have had..
a blast here at Blogit! There are so many creative people here! I've also managed to make friends from across the world!! It's very exciting..It's also nice that we are able to read each others' work and help each other to get better. My blog centers around my girlfriend/wife and I, and sometimes, I'll add a poem or short story.. Overall, Blogit is an excellent blogging community!! Long live Blogit!!  Schree`

the graph means nothing...

or next to nothing.  as my boss always says: there are 3 kinds of lies: lies, damned lies and statistics. (ok brian not lookin for a wild west u callin me a liar showdown ). but we need a more meaningful graph to grunt with pride that we are in the best part of blogosphere.  u dont have any stats on the competition which u could run as comparision? or like beachbelle suggested some thing which shows the accelaration rate which can be extrapolated into some analyst brew to link with some sort of barometer for net popularity, esp since all the numbers are under wraps...while we are talkin about numbers...what about the attrition rate...how many join drop out...hmmm all sortsa numbers....ooooh  you wouldnt let me fire SQL queries at your db now would ya?

Are you saying
that we need a Comercial category?  That opens up a nasting can of worms.  I'd rather we see it as a blogger's paradise, away from the clutter and trash that ends up blowing down the street--you know--junk mail.

It's been a fun ride

It would be cool to have a place on the blogit where a blogger could see who has them in their favorites.

I'd love to know who likes my blogs and who has me in their favs.

Also, what if we had a spot for commerce?  It's really fun and interesting to find out who sells what, and if

someone has a book, or other things to buy.

We do not publish the exact number of members for competitive reasons. Pictures are worth a thousand words; as you can see, BN's growth has been incredible, and keeps continuing to accelerate!

The numbers you mention are not accurate.

Interesting point Brian, can we point to a specific number, say number of active subscribers at January 31, 2004. Surely that is not somthing that competitors necessarily capitalise on. I can see how the money is divided up, what I cannot see is how much is being divided up. 10700 comments/clicks divided by 1000 members who pay a total of $3000 ( 1000 x $6/2) lets not quibble about decimals.

Sorry to play the sceptic Brian. Perhaps more data to understand figures. Comments average 10700 a month or 360 per day. It will take only 50 bloggers to comment 7 times each to reach that number. Ariala talking to herself can reach those numbers without help from anyone!
