A very heartfelt letter, I find this to be. I myself would send the letter for the closure of it. While certainly not on the same level, doing that with Phil Ribiero on that assignment I lied about, achieved closure for me.

Well K. If it were me, and I probably might have behaved as you did. I don't know of course. There is so much hidden pain and pride in some lives. To cut to the gritty, what has passed cannot be recalled. If it were me I would write to Cecil's sister saying how sorry I was to learn of her brother's passing. She might by reply tell you more details without feeling pressurized. I would not bring up the past, although it is probably tormenting you at this time. All you really want to find out as you say is the medical history of the family. Of course the little pain in your mind is not what your daughter feels. Introduce yourself slowly that's my advice for what it is worth. There again what do I know.
