Sounds like you've found a real possibility....moving is the pits, but having a new nest once it's all over sounds worth it to you. Have you given up on England, as I read this? Couldn't you do something through your daughter? Whatever you do, I'm sending good wishes that you find your home.

Oh, it makes me tired just thinking about moving,
and I'm thinking about it. Much of my to-do list is prep for it. (sigh). I hope you get the house you want and it turns out to be the right one as time goes by.

Well of course in England the owner seller has to report known faults to a prospective buyer, but property does seem really cheap in the USA in comparison. You should have moved here 50 years ago, good luck anyway.
