I love christmas memories!!
The children and I do the same thing as I take odds and ends out of giant red rubbermade containers. Many home made creations are still intact and up around the house. This will be our first Christmas in our new home, very excited!!

It's amazing to me how sweet those who suffer debilitating
conditions can be in spite of limitations and pain. So many heroes. Cute snowman, and a joyful reminder. Merry Christmas.

Oh he is handsome. What your sister's family gave their mother is priceless. Some are never visited again after they are dropped off. This is a lovely story. Merry Christmas to you and yours.

I should explain that these are those fancy department store creations that came from gifts, or the decoration itself, that she had splurged on....the one from when I was six is an angel head with feather wings, etc.

I teared up reading this....and it helped firm up an idea I'd toyed with. I ran across Mama's box of 'heritage bows'....bows that she has used on our packages for years, the oldest from when I was six! Some are so fragile we handle them like glass. I'm going to make a shadow box of the most precious, and take it to Mama. Each one has years of memories.
