Perhaps she is working up the courage and the necessary impetus to jump into a different environment. My advice would be nothing is going to be perfect, but if one is halfway there it will take along time to get there from scratch. A bit different if one is being treated harshly, that's the time to jump, sadly some cannot even make that move.

A long time ago I made a decision, based on a lot of thought on the matter, never to give advice in matters of the heart. It's one of the few decisions I have stuck to religiously, LOL...As to your suspicions about Ever's motives - you may well be right...
