I must admit that I have not been, up to now, very knowledgeable about ALEC, but after reading your post, I have spent a lot of time checking out a lot of information about this. Thank you for giving me the impetus to do that.

Yep, makes me mad and very uneasy...
Between ALEC and one of their big "causes" the TTP, I believe unwealthy, hard working, good hearted People are screwed royally. We do see their destructive-to-life-and-liberty handiwork more and more - the privatized prisons, (mass incarceration for non violence)giving climate change deniers a thrill with ALEC sponsored lies, on and on. But maybe shining light into a poisoned well does ferret out some of the rats, so to speak - I did a little googling (I get e mails about ALEC but don't remember or missed this one) and found:
