It is funny when one finds oneself in a situation that feels unreal as it must have done.
Who would imagine you crashing through snow as if unprepared. Your shelter a bit cold for comfort. I guess you are still in a bit of a daze at this point. How nice though to have the comfort of friendly beings.

I can just imagine the difficulty in trying to find help at such an early hour. You make the reader feel as though one is trying to get through that deep snow...Reading about the kind of French one learns reminds me that people in America do not learn the sort of Spanish most people speak, so that makes it tougher for people to converse with Spanish speakers.

I'm with Justi.....hurry up and finish.....it's freezing out here, I'm not dressed for this weather, I'm hungry and we don't have any idea what's wrong with the car!! This is just reminding me how much I wish you would tell us stories more often...you are so good at it!

I drove that route many times and did work in most of the cities like La Pocatiere etc. for years all the way down to Cape Breton.
