It has been awhile since I have seen a hawk, about two years, I say...I have never had a panic attack.

My senior year in high school I had this weird condition that was never diagnosed...and I went to several doctors, specialists included...it was a dry cough that would start and I would cough so hard I would lose my breath and when I would breath back in, it felt like my throat or lungs slammed shut.  It was identical to the feeling of when your breath is knocked out of you.  I would be gasping for breath and there was absolutely nothing there...it was VERY frightening.  A doctor early on told us that I would pass out and my throat/lungs would relax and I would get oxygen so I wouldn't die - I can't really remember clearly all the details any longer....but, I learned that when I had coughed all my breath out to very slowly control my breath that I took back in...very, very slowly.... and then nothing closed up.  Finally, a specialist we went to in Dallas tried giving me a shot of gamoglobin (sp?)and it 'cured' me....still with never getting a diagnosis.

Yes about two years ago I had something that was going around and the doctor did not believe me. I kept feeling that I could not breathe and it made my blood pressure rise. I happen to talk to a neighbor and she said she had suffered it as well, she thought she was going home she could not breathe and in desperation thumped herself in the stomach, this seemed to do the trick, it must have been a strange virus, but no one would believe us.
