Oh but I have been so upset at times. Australia and the USA have always been such good friends...not that we don't ever snarl at each other but that's because we are such friends. We are sisters you and I.

Re:

Justi, I truly dislike and do not, can not support abortion for birth control but a part of me wonders if all of those babies had lived, against the mother's wishes, who would support and care for them? I know!! Let's do away with needless wars, trim the defense budget hugely, tremendously and invest the savings into programs to offer all the help needed to get the moms/parents on their feet enough to eventually care for their kids and/or fund adoptions so many, many more people could adopt a baby instead of ending the child's life before they even take their first breath..Thank you, Dear Justi for commenting!  Will add that I believe the lives of all innocents matter...

I don't agree with you but I totally agree with your right to feel and say what you are saying. Freedom of a country is the greatest thing a country can have. Also I do not get so riled up about the children getting killed because in our own free world country  where no one forced the killings we have killed almost 60,000,000 babies just in this country because they are an inconvience. We have not the ability to bring peace to a world of such differing peoples.

Re: Katray2

I think there are way, way too many "cooks in the kitchen" in Syria, WileyFriend. And yet they keep on gaining more weaponry and ground..

Re:

Humanity's condition, indeed, TAPS; but surely by now we should be evolved beyond, way beyond, endless, needless wars...Good points, thank you!

Katray2

That is a very disturbing way to have to think but you certainly highlight the facts of the situation and I am glad Canada is going to pull out of the Syrian attacks on ISIS.

I used to travel to Europe most years...I cannot tell you the arguments that I had re our American friends. So much hate for a Nation led by a few!

Isis is inexperienced at this one. There's no conclusive proof that they planted a bomb on the Russian airline. But the U.S. should keep a keener eye on them love.

Wars, and rumors of wars, have always been, and it seems always will be.  Such ugly things they are, a bane to human kind.

war is inevitable as long as politicians can send you sons and daughters and not themselves or their family members to fight

I am concerned with the amount of wars that we have fought and their end result. Obama was supposed to be the anti-war candidate. Obviously, he ended up not being that way.

Sadly, it seems that Americans do not want a candidate who is against the Military Industrial Complex. Look at how Rand Paul changed his views on fighting the foreign wars for instance. He recognized he would not give himself any sort of chance otherwise.
