Honestly, there's no other way but the Spirit as the means through the Word to read the Bible. This has been the way in my experience in a fine approach to my college Old Testament class. It also used a text that followed God's promise of salvation throughout both the Old and New Testaments. In other word, the Spirit leads you through both Law and Gospel in both testaments love. I rejoice and praise the Lord.
