It has changed dating in the form of dating websites one can frequent. It seems like there is a significant chunk of people who are meeting through that means.
I imagine that with so many people joined at the hip to their phone, dates can be ruined by people immersing themelves into them.

When I think of dating, I think of the old romantic way.  It does not seem a bit like dating if one partner or the other, or both, are continuously fiddling around with the latest iphones.  I went to dinner once, just once, with a man who I thought was praying for a long time over his food.  He had a phone in his lap and was texting.
