I used to do that long ago in the 60's when I smoked and drank a lot up to 68 Bro.

Re: Re:
I think I had that one figured out by reading the poem. Or if there wasn't a real lively old gander...she was wishing there was.

Re:
Perhaps the homeless look in containers that are for the purpose of collecting cigarette ends adnohr. I bet if I go shopping tomorrow I will have a job to find enough for a quick smoke. Well I didn't tell the whole story adhnor there was a lively old gander ready to make passionate love to her, but I didn't like to mention, you know what in a poem.

Re: CCT....
Yes very smokey Kabu no good being a tramp and looking down your driveway. Smokeless Zones do not provide good smokes.

Re:Pat
No it is a bygone habit here Pat, I must suss the gutters out tomorrow to see if I can spy an odd dog end just for nostalgia. I do wish I could paint but, I can't. I did used to make flower pictures out of everlasting flower petals. Before computers of course.

Thanks for the explanation about what it was...I have often found that things are not what they seem.

I did not know dog ends, nor have I ever wanted a smoke badly
enough to salvage dog ends and roll my own. But I have though I'd unravel a sweater and use the yarn to crochet something else, and I find ways to re-use things most people toss. I like your poems - they're so perfect for illustrations, nice old-fashioned water colors with artful foliage in the background...

CCT....
I do remember your darling old Goose and I had an idea that your dog ends were cigarette ends, I didn't know about them being picked up and used again. I should have thought of that, the homeless do still do it today.

Actually, you could live those times again if out among the homeless - they pick up cigarette butts and save up the tobacco too if the stoogie isn't smoked immediately. Poor goosie - life changes and we have to learn to live with what we are dealt - at least he's being positive and finds the water fresh...and isn't hanging upside down having his feathers removed.
