Re: Things That Go Bump
Yeah, CC, you and I were just a few years too
young at that point in the war to get directly involved. Lucky for us.

It really amazes me Jackie that folk in USA did those kind of things that were the norm for us. I can tell you it was a terrible feeling of joy for us when we heard that the USA
had decided to join us. Although I know it was terribly sad at Pearl Harbour.
We were on our last resources and you can guess the enemy in France twenty or so miles away, we probably may not have made it without your help. I guess you did not give your strawberries enough water, they get very thirsty when trying to produce fruit.
I don't think we ventured out on Halloween, we were all too scared.

Re: Halloween Memories
Thanks, Taps. Glad you liked it. I laugh everytime I look at all that innocence.

Re: Just luck
Yes, Annicite:
This Halloween photo survives (70 years?), but just luck, really, that it did. Old photos are great to jog the memory of what and how you might have felt about things in that part of your life, at that age. Strange, but the more I write, the more the details of the past come back to me. It is not until I actually start putting sentence to paper that my memory takes over.
