LOL - been there, done that. And the bathroom sinks are so 'beautiful' and certainly not deep enough to get the kettle full without tilting so that it can never really fill, so I used the jacuzzi taps. A nuisance.

Well Naut I have insurance which covers water related problems, I was tired of trying to find someone to replace parts that had gone out of fashion. The guy just comes a swaps both taps with new ones, or climbs up into the loft and sorts the problem. We always filter our water to get rid of lime scale although higher up the country it is said that water passes through a different function before becoming available.

Bummer! I hope you find a grizzled, experienced plumber who
can install a less beautiful but more functional water dispensing system soon.

I hope that you can get the kitchen sink working again...In the car wash industry, that has been the case. So much requires now an outside contractor to come in when before most problems could be fixed in-house. I guess in our industry, though, it is a matter of us catching up to the technology.

OMG! You really are reading my vibes today! Both of your posts could have been themes lifted right out of the stew pot on my back burner. This particular one is a REAL pet peeve....you might have to give me a gentle shove to get me off the soap box about what I think about progress!!! Well, actually, I think I can stop right now and you have the general idea

(PS..Isn't it the same water?)

Poor luv's. I do sympathize. I too have tried to fix taps and kill big Spiders and turn on a Iphone or whatever they are called with disasterous results.Wiley the mechanic cannot do much with a car either. So much is computerised and has to be recalled and exchanged and set or something.
