Books, songs, random bits of poetry, nursery rhymes.
Probably the best example of this is the story about Mom's cousin Zany C. who came out of the anesthesia following her son's birth singing "All of me, why not take all of me...."

Yes - I remember reading Anne of Green Gables and realizing that I wasn't a loonie (the boys kept telling me I was) because I named each of my trees or special places.
