It's not just Kansas City. Chicago and St. Louis and NYC and so many
others have dealt with one violent crime after another - seems like a couple every week since the problem in Ferguson, MO a year ago in August. Maybe it's just that they're reporting on them more often.

It's too bad all the news stories ...and movies, etc...can't impart the sadness of the death that is the result of our violent society....as your haiku does. Instead, it seems we have to hear stories of mass shootings to pay attention.
