Well K. I can't comment on your world, Sadly sometimes to put some things right means it makes others more aggressive. So I just read and try to understand what some folk feel. Sometimes it is rather disturbing and at other times rather wonderful.

Re: Kabu

I read you Sister and hurting is not something that I try to do....Unless the witch deserves it...Know what mean????LOL

One BIG reason I don't get into issues in the States unless they are world wide is that I have experienced American border control and it is the main reason that I never visited some countries, never joined a political party and never been too critical of the States. Those border people are brutal!!!!

Once you get beyond them, I have always found Americans the kindest nicest people in the World...No true. Courteous, helpful, and they seem to love my accent.LOL

My real take on guns???? I hate hunting except for fishing...have had to hunt Kangaroos in Australia and cried my eyes out...another story as you say... and apart from a hunting Rifle I cannot see why people need firearms. If they must all guns should be kept in a combination safe like where my son keeps his. No kids can harm themselves. No desperate person with mental health needs can get a hold of one...no drunken friend. Safe and I am not sure whether his kids even knew they are there.

So that is my take. Only the army the police, a hunter and a farmer needs a gun. I do not expect anyone but me to have my opinion.

ps....I find hunting difficult to cope with up here in Canada too. LOL...Have to keep my mouth shut. The thingy that really is my pet loathing here is the Bow hunting. Hit a deer and follow the trail of blood till it drops. How cruel and unnecessary is that!!

take care of you xx

Of course! One should always try to understand - and learn, and try to understand some more, and sometimes the understanding chages - it's a never-ending, life-long process, at least ideally, though sometimes people sort of give up...And even stats can be useful for understanding certain things! It depends on how well they're done, because the old GIGO principle always applies - (G)arbage (I)n - (G)arbage (O)ut...

It is amazing with all of the technology we have just how hard communication is. With the car wash club, I have to contact some people. I can e-mail, text and call them to no avail.

They say that's why so many of us don't remember names....when we are introduced, we have our name 'on deck' in our mind, just waiting for the right time to roll it out....and that's why we don't really hear the intro of the person we're meeting.  That sounds so rude....but most of us do it...until we are trained out of the habit.

I got lost about halfway through because i was thinking about the importance of really listening and how most people, instead of listening are thinking about what they are going to say next.  You can see it in their faces.  It's like you wrote two different posts all mashed together into one.  I'll read the second half next time I come here.  Nerd smile

You always say that....but your thinking is of value.  I am always interested in people's perspective.  I know you don't  live here....I don't live in Canada, and could never have a perspective of a Canadian, woldn't pretend to.  You can have an opinion about what I just said in the post, whether it made sense or didn't and, if not, why not in your opinion.  I always value opinions as long as they are not TRYING to hurt....and that intent is always obvious.

Since I ain't American it doesn't matter a fig what I think, but perhaps you and I can just agree to disagree on Guns and stuff like that. I sure am not going to go on about something that isn't my business.
