Perhaps there is a story behind why he is so obsinate in his thinking....maybe he or someone close to him was robbed

It is the word Stupid I think that really hurt. I cannot stand that word. The Father of my sons told everyone that I was stupid, couldn't add two and two together...Perhaps in your past someone was just as cruel to you. xx

We seem to obtain so much small change, I just toss that into a shopping bag.

Your friend obviously did not suss out the negative vibes, he was receiving.

You must perhaps be exceedingly good at keeping a beautiful aura around you.

This obviously is a quality that has to be achieved at a cost, but it is a talent.

If I wear a shirt or such and it has a front pocket I do prefer to use this.

If I am wearing a waterproof coat with zip pockets I use the left one.

The real problem is K. wallets are different to when we once used them.

Mine is like a stuffed pillow, one needs so many notes and credit cards

I think I have about 6 other cards and the car licence photograph etc.

Any way when I only wear trousers which these days always seem too tight

I do resort to the faithfull back pocket and keep reminding myself that it is there.

As long as there's a wallet and one's taken care of is all that matters love.

Krisles

Very interesting as always, full of precious memories and clearly showing how even small things can have deep emotional significance.

But, risky as it may be, may I play ‘devil’s advocate’ here? Since it really is a small matter, and to your friend probably no more than one of practicality, I suspect he used the term ‘stupid’ in the casual, offhand way we often do, rather than meaning to imply that men who carry their wallets in their back pockets are really stupid men.

Maybe he, like me had, had a wallet lifted out of his back pocket, or knew other people who had. In my case, it happened when I attended an event I really enjoyed – the Scottish Highland Games in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, of all places, LOL…

Anyway, I no longer carry my wallet in my back pocket either; reaching for it in my front pocket may not trigger ladies’ memories of their dads, but it also does not gain the attention of pick-pockets…

You definitely brought back memories to me of my Dad pulling out his wallet (back pocket) and paying for things.  He always tipped, and tipped well.  I loved that about him.  He taught us that the tip was payment for the service and the bill was for what you received and that both were necessary.
