My only trouble with 'Bibi' are the acres and acres of Palestinian land he has encroached upon without any peace settlement, and his humiliation of the President of the U.S.A.

And re your comment: I know Afghan history, but allusions to it doesn't quite fit here - the invaders (Brits, Russians, Americans) have left, even if there are still a few of the latter around. It's no longer about an insurgence, but about the resurgence of Islam - not totally unrelated, but still a different kettle of fish...
I disagree about it "fitting" because I read the warnings years ago back when I was in Australia. The warning then was exactly what is happening.
It is definitely more dangerous for we who had troops in their country and because it has become over the years a training ground for different terrorists groups. One wonders if Bush had said yes to the push to grab Bin Laden when they had him in sight instead of dithering until he had disappeared whether we needed to fight there after that at all. By the time the monster was caught he was really quite irrelevant...I will stop now. LOL
