It's a pity that nowadays many insalubrious substances are being legalised.

I wouldn't mind having a pretty marijuana potted plant.  I think they are pretty and would add variety to my plant collection.  Winking smile

I disagree with legalizing pot but more education sounds a good idea Sis.

Look at prohibition ? I say legalize the stuff with a little teeny weeny tax that, like the tax on tobacco and booze, can gradually become and has  become bigger than Ben Hur.

But then I never tired more than tobacco and that took me 20 years to get away from.

As for the second

We had Boat kids, from Vietnam come to the schools in Wagga. They were soon top of their classes. WHY? They had been denied ediucation. Now I don't agree with that stance...but....

I looked at it this morning and thought about it at some length...I’ve done my share (my share? What was my share? LOL) of pot and other stuff – as have many if not most of us. I certainly don’t do it now, and not merely because I’ve meanwhile learned more about its serious effects, although that alone would keep me away from it…

There is much to be said for it on either side, and although I recognize the 'fashionable' side is for legalizing it, I am opposed to it. My reasons for taking that position are complex and go far beyond the scope of a Blogit comment...

Yes I like that last suggestion Taps. 'Hush children, do your arithmetic quietly or we might have to sweep the street for a week. Don't tell your Ma. or Pa.'

Well when liquor was illegal it created quite a lot of activity. I don't know enough about drugs to comment, once it was illegal to grow tobacco over here, I grew some once it was horrible.
