Hard for grown "kids" to live with parents, especially the menfolk, it seems.

times were difficult. my parents waited years to get married. They had land to pay for and no house built yet. The crops yielded really well but nobody wanted to buy.

Yes it was a job to know what to do all day ,I expect. Hurzel just got pulled into the company, not much else to do.
