Oh, this is delicious. And Hursel is a giant among men, dealing with
what could be a knotty problem in a wise, straightforward way. Nothing like an honest man! Ever. A fiction writer could not find such wonderful descriptive names for invented characters than you've got right there in your family. Loving this!

Sadie needed to control, but Hursel was intelligent enough to realize a relationship between them would be bad for both. Loving this story!.

Well.....I just went back and got ALL caught up!!! What a wonderful story and what a great recall you have! I have wonderful photo's from when my mom and dad fell in love and they are almost film noir type things....and they basic story is great...but I don't know all the detail like you have here and reading this has made me wish I did. What a treasure you are creating for your family to have! I sure hope you are printing it or putting it on a flash or something so they will always have it. You are such a talented writer, Betty....you are succinct but still get the emotion and texture in there. I'd give anything to be able to write like this.
