It's a weird rule in Quebec, Justi. Leases used to terminate

on April 30th, but they found children were forced to change schools before the year was over, so it was changed to July 1st. One doesn't try to drive ANYWHERE in the cities on July 1st!

Re: adnohr

Unfortunately some of those organisations don't keep their sites up to date. The one I used is quite good but yes, there was room for improvement! Send them an email and let them know!

A bit stupid, I think it is like taking a dog from Hell and placing it in Heaven. Many would just like to mooch around on Earth I guess. Of course folk could lie through their teeth and only want a dog for breeding. Although at that price, well I think it all out of proportion. Why not just send someone to have a look around. It is the same here if one wants a pet rabbit or a goose, some nutter needs to give one the third degree. No wonder these places are choc-o-block with unwanted animals, a lot of folk won't go through the trauma. I would like a few performing fleas, but it is too much aggro showing where I would strap them on my bum.

Sounds like they're very cautious about who they send a dog home with

especially a dog that could be casually adopted then used for nefarious purpose, or just as casually neglected. I daresay to them it is the same as adopting a baby.

I can't imagine them not finding you ideal, though.,

That is quite the vetting process that they have there.

Wonderful to read you again, sorry you're still feeling sick. Hang in there. :)

I have a great nephew and his wife that are in the middle of an adoption procedure for a human baby.  This sounds to be just about as difficult as that is for them.
So sorry that your healing is taking so long.  Smiling back at you.

I am so sorry you are having to go through all that. I hope you will be feeling so much better really soon. What is that stuff about everybody having to move on the same day?

If you go to that link, and spool down a bit, you'll see Ben - more than three years after I got him...http://pointingbreedrescue.blogspot.ca/

Sounds like deja vu to me - same damn rigmarole I went through when I got Bennie! But you know what? That outfit is run by idiots! Bennie is still being shown on their website as a dog up for adoption!!!
