Garfunkel is spot on with his assessment...You often talk to us about writing Congress, which I do feel is very important. Perhaps, too, more celebrities speaking out will help turn the tide.

Just bought a Hits CD of their music - hadn't heard them for such a long time. More and more people are paying attention, Naut. Some of our esteemed politicians jumped on the bandwagon for increasing the number of immigrants allowed after the Syrian photo circulated. I believe that they have backed the wrong horse, as far as Quebec is concerned anyway, because since then there are murmurs that Mr. Harper's caution is bringing up his party polls.

Sad but they will fill the world. Yes I love the duo. George still plays and sings Bridge Over Troubled Waters often. Have a wonderful day.

Simon and Garfunkel!!!

Their music is always in my head. Mrs Robertson....Sounds of Silence, Bridge over troubled water... their folk songs always carried something deeper than just a tune.

The changes are fascinating, a bit frightening, and definitely not sanctioned by myself.  I'm afraid I preferred the old ways.

Nautikos

Well, I just  hope my, and your,  fellow countrymen who travel to Europe and see for themselves what is happening there....and who might have been inclined prior to their visit - I'm sure with humane intentions - to let all the illegals stay, and let as many refugees as possible in....might think a little more realistically...... with a little more vision down the road for the generations to come...and a little hindsight at what history has clearly shown has always happened.....or at least a bit of common sense on the long flight back as they reflect.  But, it will depend on their age....the young or so clueless they won't know there was ever any difference - that seems to be the problem here in the States, juvenile dementia.
