I always adored the white birk clump that my dad planted in his yard and was so proud of.  It was so beautiful as it grew to maturity.

A good place to tune up in , I would imagine. Better than in the middle of town. What about the kilt not really suitable in that kind of terrain.

Perhaps Birkenstocks were invented by a wandering poet in a Birkenshaw!  I like the word, like it a lot.....I may see if my new yard guy, assuming he doesn't disappear into the mists, might build me one.....

I thought Birkenshaw was a comfortable kind of sandal with a cork-

lined sole and leather straps...
