Absolutely unreal....like an alternate reality....that we are living in a time when such a nightmare would be happening in waking hours.
I enjoyed the history bit.... Imagine my surprise when as I scrolled through the TV offerings at 7, "Dracula Uncovered" was on Cinemax. As I read the description, it was the story you described - except Vlad does employ the vampire element to save his people from the invading Turks. I flipped it on, just because....and am mesmerized by what is turning out to be a great re-telling of the typical Dracula as vampire tale as it incorporates the true hystorical background as a reason for why he became the 'monster'. I'm sitting here wishing we could all find a friendly vampire in the mountain to give us 3 days worth of incredible powers to mow through the invaders and take back our way of life.......and all we have to do is resist the urge to taste blood ourselves for the 3 days and we'll return to our old selves.....well, that's the synopsis of this movie, anyway.....
Unfortunately...it is more and more obvious, we are going to have to taste blood ourselves.....a lot of it.
