I remember so well the Cold War mentality....I'm not sure what to call this current version, but it is the same kind of anxiety of waiting for the other shoe to drop. I think those of us raised with that as part of our psyche are much faster to recognize the dangers than those who have been raised without it and, often, with even washed out and down history interpretations by teachers in their classrooms. The world is like he forest fires in the US.....so many, in so many places, and not enough firefighters...the ones there, tired.

On the news today apparently Germany can accept over 500,000 refugees at a time for many times, that's a lot of people.

People have been coming out of Africa into Europe for hundreds of thousands of years and spreading across the earth...We want to cling to what we know and what we feel is right and what we feel safe with... But still they will come, out of Africa and spread throughout the World. I personally am not happy and i think right now people are thinking with their emotions...but still they will come.

I feel Europe is at a critical juncture in its history. If they do not handle Islam and Iran properly, the trouble is going to get greater to where it cannot be solved. Hopefully, Europe wakes up.

As I read this, there is appropriate sound effects. Thunder is rolling across the skies here, sounding threatening, and rain is tapping at the windows and I hear it running down the downspouts. I can't imagine what will happen to Europe. The thought of it makes me wish my Grandson Michael, the U.S. Army Ranger had not been sent to Germany as a steppingstone to other areas of Europe. It makes me wish my Nephew didn't have a two-year contract for work in Madrid, Spain. It makes me wish that my other nephew was not working in some oil field in Saudia Arabia. But, as things are going, I'm sure there would be no promises for safety if they were here in the states either.
