very well written. I am not sure about Bird houses in the tree. I love the fact that they congregate there for the night because it is so real. So natural for them. But that's just me.

Not many patios around like that K. I suppose it is still warm in the evening.
I think if you had bird houses with small entrances you would just encourage the small birds. You don't want pigeons or larger it would become messy.

You have brought to life the scene around your house for us. I can see why you enjoy sitting on your patio...My great-aunt used to do that all of the time when she was alive.
