An excellent article you have posted, Naut. In Maryland, this has been a hot button issue, prone to the ebb and flow that most issues of the day have. It does not make any sense to me either...

SO he has a problem and ends up sharing it until everyone has a problem. Seems to be the way to go now. I agree with you, Naut. He would be so outta the girl's bathroom if I was principal there.

Oh my God! I have to come back and read this again. I have heard of some of it but I want to read it again.

I can't really understand it all Naut. I don't think I even knew that anything like this ever existed. I suppose growing up as a country lad one just saw things as female and male. Probably a lot of folk are encouraged to think they are a different sex, we are not very different in some respects. I would give the lad a separate toilet and say use it or lose it this is your bog.

Darnit, I hate when I hit the wrong key and Blogit posts my BS before

I'm done writing it.... First of all this is not about ISIS or terrorism or religion of any denomination. It's about a kid's right to be the gender s/he believes s/he is. Secondly, I was never all that comfortable in the dressing rooms and showers even with only females. There were always suspicions the boys were finding a way to peep in at us in the altogether, which apparently is what today's reporters/complainers think is this individual's goal. What if the school administrators acted like leaders/grownups, told the individual she can be who she wants, but it's the 'family' bathroom until gender assignment is complete and she's just another one of the girls.

The argument here is totally muddled - with side-gangline non-related

Not insignificant at all.....sets the tone, the background colors against which each of these other dramas you mention are painted - that's how I think of it.  This is an excellent article and the logic so clear I think even my ten yr old granddaughter, Lila, could easily understand that these tweets show crazy progressiveness that truly exists, and she would understand because she has had the parenting support he talks about these kids have evidently missed.  I agree with him.

Good post. I totally agree with you.

Never heard of sauch a thing until recently for goodness sake...and if he really felt like a girl, he/she would understand why the girls don't want him in the girls room. I myself would not feel comfortable even now.
