yes this word is easily taken for the word elude. Big difference. Some of these words are so funny or big stranglers. It is funny how slang has become so much of our language of today.

I had a bit of trouble over that the other day, meant elude, used allude, tried illude, went back to elude.  Finally looked it up to be sure.  LOL

another word and another learning session. You keep this up and i am going to become quite the pain in the proverbal a@# cos i shall be speaking OLDE English smattered with Latin.

Round these parts they probably say illude when they mean allude Naut I shall have to correct them in future, fascinating how language changes. Could not see it in the Shorter Oxford Dictionary, but I can quite imagine the use of the word. Not that I would dare use it now.  Hope I spelled it right a job when one is dyslexic. I love these sessions.
