I never cared much for dim sum. I tried it and found it didn't have much taste to it. I do love most other Chinese foods though that don't contain meat

You are brave Ciel , I just like chips, chips and chips. Sounds like you are really enjoying the local cuisine. Hope the eye is doing well.

What fun! Except for the chicken feet...
I can't find them appetizing, knowing where they've been scratching....

Dimsum is a fabulous meal BUT one really needs to pick their restaurant, and what they eat. There is only one in Sydney where I eat or used to eat and it is worth the wait for a table...even if it takes an hour.

I am a bit of a dim sum afficionado and, like Krisles, I had it frequently in town for lunch, though never for breakfast. It doesn't go well with coffee, my essential breakfast beverage...

I've never had dim sum breakfast...but we had it for lunch regularly in Kansas City at this restaurant that was a favorite! Meals there were an occasion, with the carts like you describe, but the dishes were of a large variety.....I always loved it and am getting very hungry right now, just thinking about it!
