I agree with some of this article in that there is a prevalance of behaviors of desperation in certain groups in the U.S. The desperation is based on actual degradation and ostracization - consider the breakdown, even near disappearance of the
Native American culture and the terrible ongoing social issues multiplied in the black community. (Btw, most of the crimes committed by any person in the U.S. have nothing to do with Islam or any religion for that matter.) The suffering endured and the resultant negative statistics for these two peoples has been going on for all of America's lifetime in one sense and for a very, very long time in another; therefore I don't see how or where it has caused radical Islam or even the population of Muslims to grow in this country.

This weekend in Kansas City was The Ethnic Enrichment Festival, the biggest of it's kind and probably longest running.  We used to take my mom and aunties way back in the Eighties.  Sixty two ethic groups were represented this year with thousands and thousands of happy participating people.  I wondered if there were "pod people" taking part or even planning harm.
