Well apart from it maybe being a bit hot on the feet, it seems to have adapted to this quiet environment. I suppose basically being well fed it a plus not that I would want to swallow such a large fish.

Stranger in a strange land...
My newest 'campaign' for respect for animals is around the way people tend to anthropomorphise their actions, expressions, general behaviors, assuming human-based motives and meanings. But sometimes, it is really hard to imagine what's going on in one like this penguin: Does he miss his own natural world? (Is 'missing' even a penguin way of thinking or feeling?) It is easy to interpret contentment in these images. Individuals in any species are driven by imperatives that start with instinct, but in species where personality also exists, it is evident that individuals have their own imperatives and interests. It's easy to see personality in this individual.
The Long Walk is a penguin thing... I am not surprised that this one is ready to do the one-foot-in-front-of-the-other thing for a considerable distance.
I have to wonder about the out-takes from this filming, and how they might change the impression this film gives.
Thanks for sharing, Naut!
