religion has always been able to rouse the general population to shed blood of those who don't agree with them. It is the superb and tried and proven way to create a war. not very nice we Humans as a species.

Two reasons, I feel:
1. People forget the message of the religion.
2. Some people are going to use anything to justify bloodshed.
