What I like best about all this is that the physicists - especially the
astro-physicists - are joyful boys and poets at heart. They are the sort of questers that writers imagine when they create characters like Peter Pan, who never really grows up or settles down. The ideas they come up with - the math itself - leads to unimagined possibility. More complicated than poking a bees' nest with a long stick, where you can end up with a sweet reward or get stung.

I find the expansion of the universe to be a very interesting topic...I remember my teacher in the college course Creation and Evolution talking about how the universe was heating up and how that would ultimately do it in. At least, that is how I understood his words.

one of the books i have read lately is "the disappearance of the universe". a very interesting theory in the book is that since life is but a dream that our collective mind is having because of our egos idea that we are separated from god. the big bang was actually when that thought of separation occurred. we needed the universe to project our fear of separation on. at this time so much is theory, but at the same time seemed to answer a lot of questions i have had as to what and why is life. from the book, " quantum physics demonstrates that the universe is not what you assume it to be; everything that appears to exist is really inseparable thought. you can't even observe something without causing a change in it on the sub-atomic level. everything is in your mind including your own body."

I think all the universe has going on up there is a spacecraft with Americans and at times Russians and a Canuck guitar player and now stop looking.

It takes a bit of swallowing Naut. Now I was just believing in the big bang theory.
I could imagine matter being blown across the universe, but when one thinks about it the sound would probably be echoing out there. So I must now focus on a new theory, it all seems plausible and I suppose we have to accept the current version. Interesting blog.
